The Ever-changing Frog Upgrading the Mustangs Audio System

The install was done in stages (click the pics to see detailed descriptions and more pics). Click to return to this page.

What am I going to do, what do I need, what is it I want to achieve? Gathering knowledge, gathering parts, buying new tools, prepping the car...
The bass box was the first thing to start construction and the last thing to be completed and is the center piece of the install. It has many stages.
Good bass response comes from a stiff enclosure to ensure vibrations of the car panels do not distort bass and dissipate power - Dynamat (one of several companies) does the job just fine but it took the longest part of the entire install, cost a fair few hundred bucks and was difficult to work with - but then , I'm a perfectionist and it had to be good.
With two amps, a changer, a stiffening cap, an XM receiver and the bass box, finding places to mount it all in a Stangs trunk took days in itself.
The Mach 460 systems has 8 separate speakers - I replaced them all and added a few extras.
Including power, signal and speaker - lots and lots of cable.
  The Finished Product.
