Done over the course of a few days using light layers. To ensure the correct metallic result, a special base was laid down first.

The only issue here was the spray would catch on the lip of the can and result in drops being blown onto the surface. Once I figured this out and wrapped cloth to capture the drops, the spraying went much smoother.

The vinyl is the original insert where the top folds down into. I simply cut a few large holes in it.

I used the excess 8G power wire from the 4 channel amp wiring kit because it matches the paintwork nicely and looks powerful.

In reality, they do not need to be this large. 12G would do just fine.

Where the wires meet the box, I used the sheathing of some more of the 8G power wire and split it down the side then used this to wrap the soldered connections making it appear like a seamless transition.

Each sub is attached to the box with 8 hex bolts. I wanted this part to looked very well built and strong - and it is.

These are nice pieces of work. About $20 each, they come in raw cast alloy form ready for painting.
