Using the paper bag template approach below, cut out a large area. Not to large, as the stuff is difficult to work with and once it is stuck, it is stuck. |

Simple cut from the center of the depressed area to the outer edge where ever there is a corner. |

Press a section of paper bag into the depression, molding it to shape then run the felt pen around to obtain the outline - it's always close enough as long as the paper does not move. |

Cut out the template then use it to trace out the shape onto the Dynamat. |

I used the handle of a screwdriver most of the time to
make sure it was really pressed on. I may have actually crushed the
Dynamat doing it this way, reducing it's capability but I have no idea. There are no problems leaving areas incomplete. |
Multiple templates to complete the door. Because the
doors are the same, just mirror images, turning the templates upside
down allows them to be reused for the other door. Allow room for tabs and connections. |
